Cocoanut Candy

Posted on December 15, 2025 By gaylascookbook_itw6oh

Take the white meat of cocoanuts, grate coarse, until you have half a pound; dissolve half a pound of refined sugar in two tablespoonfuls of water; put it over the fire and as soon as it boils, stir the cocoanut in. Stir till it is boiled to a flake, pour it on a buttered pan or marble slab, then cut in forms to suit, when it is nearly cold. Lemon flavor.
