Devonshire Sandwich

3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup flour
1 cups chicken broth
1 cup hot milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper (optional)
2 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated

Make the cream sauce like a standard white sauce (enough for 3 sandwiches). Cool to lukewarm.

450 oven. For each sandwich:

1 slice toast, crusts trimmed off
3 slices bacon, cooked crisp and drained
5 thin slices cooked turkey breast

Put the toast in casserole dish, top with bacon and turkey. Cover with cream sauce. Sprinkle with melted butter, parmesan cheese, and paprika.

Bake 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
