Posted on December 15, 2025December 20, 2025 By gaylascookbook_itw6oh

1 pint dried apple, soak overnight, chop fine 2 cups raisins, chopped. 2/3 cup butter (1/2 will do) 1 teaspoonful of clove also cinnamon; salt; 1 cup sugar; 2/3 cup molasses; 1 cup strong coffee; 1/2 cup vinegar. If the mixture is too thin, roll 2 crackers and add. If you have any bits of cold meat, chop and put in with rest of mixture. Sweeten to taste. You can use a larger quantity of apple if wanted.
