Mexican Gravy

⅓ c. vegetable oil
2 chopped onions
2 T. chili powder
1 T. cumin
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. salt
¼ t. pepper
½ c. flour
6 c. warm water

Heat oil in pot, fry onions till soft. Sprinkle and mix in spices and flour. Slowly whisk in 6 cups of warm water. Cook over low heat 20 minutes. Makes 6 cups.
